 Wild crossing? Roasted wild crossing!

  (Fred, Brusino Arsizio, June 2006)

The problem is really very simple. In Pojana is a restaurant with two characteristic but conflicting properties. First, it is located just behind a corner when arriving from the direction of Riva San Vitale. Second, the resaurant is on the left side of the road whereas the terras is on the lake, meaning on the right side. So there is a lot of wild crossing. And coffee, and wine and pizzas and so forth.

Drivers have to break, often late, often hard. Myself, I am one of those drivers who have to break late and hard. I drive an old green Citroen 2CV, which goes smoothly along the lake side, in the sun rooftop open, at 70 km/h.

The idea of 'roasted' wild crossing was soon born, back in 2001, when we first lived in Brusino Arsizio - briefly interrupted by a two year stay in Zurich. However, it took until this summer (2006) to realize the idea. First a sketch on the computer - much easier to make small corrections - followed by an afternoon playing with paint and card-board. got the job done.
