Brusino Arsizio has a strange ecology.
Not only are there rumors
about a monster there also are strange fruits and vegtibles
to be found. These pages give better insight
into the local ecology.
Maybe short on ecology, and its relation to Citroen and Apples, at least from my point of view.
James Gibson's contribution to research and our understanding
of the world has been his Ecological
Approach to Visual Percepion, a theory which was (and is) the basis for many of my research efforts. This theory is based
on the insight that perception is information pick-up.
Having a control theory / feedback loop oriented engineering
education myself, this approach naturally appealed. Also,
having developed an interest in Apple Computers and Citoen
cars (for those less familiar with the Ducth language;
Citroen translates into Lemmon) the running joke was
that I had developed a special interest in Ecoogy, particularly
in Apples and Citroens. Even now, more than ten years
later, family and friends never miss the opportunity
to bring along something related to either one. |

Here you find me, back in 1996, exploring a replicate of the
'visual cliff' as found at a mall in San Diego. Although
I am still did not find any proof Gibson was incorrect, I doubt whether the
cats failed to develop spatial perception due to the lack
of active movement, or simply because they fell asleep..... |
